KIDS’ INFORMATION IN DEALING WITH DIVORCE STRESS

What is it:

K.I.D.D.S. is a one-time, 1.5 hour, education/support program offered to the children of Huron County that are involved in divorce, dissolution or legal separation proceedings. Children that are experiencing difficulties related to visitation and family transitions are also welcome. Children between the ages of 5-17 years are required to complete the class before the Court will finalize the divorce.

Where and when:

Norwalk Police Department, 37 North Linwood Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio, on the third Wednesday of each month from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. for children between the ages of 12 -17 years and the third Thursday of each month from 4:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. for children between the ages of 5 - 11 years.

YOU MUST REGISTER:

Call the Huron County Common Pleas Court at 668-6162 to register. (DO NOT CALL THE NORWALK POLICE DEPARTMENT OR IF YOU ARE EARLY, PLEASE WAIT) It is advantageous to register as soon as you receive this notice. Persons contemplating divorce will find this class helpful for their children and will be given credit for attending before the divorce action is filed. Cost is $15.00 per child (CASH ONLY) payable to the instructor before the class session by the residential parent.
